Liberal Democrats for Electoral Reform say:
The Government is pressing ahead with proposed changes to the way we elect mayors and police and crime commissioners, first announced by Priti Patel back in March. But our friends at Make Votes Matter see this proposal for what it truly is: a backward step for democracy.
